With barely two weeks for the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), to hold its primaries to elect delegates parliamentary candidates across the country for election 2020, one woman who is going to cause a stir in the La Dede-Kotopon constituency is former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area Rita Odoley Sowah.
Ms. Sowah distinguished herself as a hardworking, committed and loyal servant under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration and brought a lot of development to the people of la and it’s environs.
She is set to make a difference and give power to the people by involving them in policy making and working with them to bring about the needed change in the constituency.
According to her, she is poised at causing a stir on August 24, 2019 and go ahead to represent the constituents in parliament.
She promised to engage in a decent campaign devoid of vilification , name calling and verbal attacks. “I am campaigning on issues, our people need change and we must offer them that change. I am highly optimistic of winning the primaries and subsequently go ahead to win the seat in 2020,” she said.
The seat is currently being occupied by New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Vincent Odotei Sowah , but Rita is ready and poised at unseating him in the next parliament.
Ms. Sowah is contesting against three other aspirants but she is unfazed as her campaign is in full swing and the message sinking down positively.
Rita Odoley Sowah is set to battle it out with three other men John Fiifi Kommey, Harold Thompson and Jake Adjei-Kwei Kwei.
“I have the support of the delegates and I am certain of coming out with flying colors after the process. I won’t let my people down, I am prepared to work with them to effect the desired change and transformation in the constituency and beyond,” she said.
